Meet the Team

Savannah Swartwood

Founder & CEO

Hi, I’m Savannah Swartwood, the proud owner of SunnyRose Pet Services LLC.

Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up surrounded by all kinds of pets—lizards, guinea pigs, fish, snails, dogs, cats, and birds—so much so that my entire room was like a little zoo! I first started pet sitting when I was 13 years old for friends and family.

Over the years, I’ve gained extensive experience caring for animals of all types, from working as a veterinary assistant to volunteering at dog shelters and participating in dog events. I’ve also completed numerous training courses with my own dogs, including therapy dog training, CGC, and CGCA courses. I am Pet CPR and Fear Free Certified, PCI insured, and continuously taking courses to expand my skills. I’m experienced in administering both oral and topical medications and love reinforcing training with animals in a positive, patient way.

At home, I live with my husband, our two dogs Glacier and Hazel, our two cats Cheez It and Lyra, and sometimes our neighbor’s cat, Tito, who has adopted us and become part of our family. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Music and have taken classes in music therapy, which allows me to create a calm, comforting atmosphere for pets—you’ll often see me singing to them! Whether we’re going for a walk, reinforcing training, or simply sharing snuggles, my goal is always the same: to make every pet feel safe, loved, and treated like family. I’m truly excited to meet you and your furry family members!

Christian Swartwood

Pet Sitter, Overnight Care

Hi, I’m Christian, proud husband of Savannah and an animal lover at heart.

I grew up with dogs and cats—my family had 5–6 cats when I was younger, and I spent a lot of time caring for them. I also loved working with our dogs and helping them learn and grow. Animals have always brought me joy, and I love watching them get excited, thrive, and grow throughout their journey.

While Savannah leads SunnyRose Pet Services, I occasionally assist with overnights, drop-ins, and walks to help provide a safe, seamless experience for both pets and their people. I’m also Pet CPR and First Aid certified, so you can feel confident your furry family members are in good hands.

I look forward to helping care for your pets with the same love and attention we give our own!

Melinda P.

Summer Pet Sitter, Dog Walker

Hi, I’m Melinda. I’ve always had animals in my life, and today I’m the proud dog mom to a sweet 6-year-old Goldendoodle named Baxter. I also took courses in marine biology at University.

Animals hold a special place in my heart. Whether it’s a playful pup, a cuddly cat, or a curious horse, I care for every pet as if they were my own. I believe all pets deserve love, attention, and a safe, happy space while their families are away.

During the school year, I work as an intervention aide, supporting students in an educational setting.

I’m also Pet CPR and First Aid certified, so you can feel confident that your pets are in safe, loving hands. I am excited to meet with your beloved pets!

Amber B.

Dog Walker, Pet Sitter

Hi, I’m Amber! I’m a proud mom to two energetic little boys who keep life full of laughter. Animals have always been a central part of my life, and my experience includes several years working at a pet store, where I not only cared for a wide variety of pets but also held a management position for a couple of years. In that role, I gained extensive hands-on experience with small animals, reptiles, birds, and, of course, dogs and cats, while also learning how to run daily operations and ensure the highest standard of care. Today, our home is full of pets, including two Belgian Malinois, a cat, a bearded dragon, and several freshwater fish, and I’ve been helping friends and family care for their pets since my teenage years. Being around animals has always felt natural, and I take great pride in making sure every pet is happy, safe, and loved.

Animals are truly a family passion in our home. My husband’s involvement in a local dog club, including obedience training and PSA work, has given me even more exposure to working breeds and dog training. I am Pet CPR and First Aid certified, and safety is always a top priority when caring for pets. I am genuinely excited to care for your furry family members as if they were my own, bringing experience, compassion, and a deep respect for all animals to every visit.

"When Savannah is caring for my cats, I can relax and enjoy my vacation because I know they are in the best care. Savannah takes time to build a relationship with them and my cats love her. Even my shy cat who doesn’t like people comes out to play and get love from her. After every visit she texts me a picture and an update on them. I especially love the cute reports she provides when I return. Beyond her excellent care for my two cats, Savannah is just a very sweet and wonderful human being. You cannot go wrong with hiring her for any of your pet care needs!"
